I approached this project when Northwestern Mutual was looking to switch their account aggregation vendors. I saw a great opportunity to improve the account linking flow. Before, users had to click through several screens and go through multiple steps just to link their bank accounts, property, and other assets. It was pretty clunky and took way too long. As the product designer, I took on the challenge of creating a smooth experience that would let users link accounts from any page on the client website. I designed a clean, intuitive interface that boiled the whole process down to just a few clicks. My goal was to cut down on the steps and time it took to get everything linked up. With the new flow I created, users can quickly add their accounts, property, and assets without breaking a sweat. This gives them a much clearer picture of where they stand financially. The best part is that it allows Northwestern Mutual to offer more tailored financial advice. In the end, I'm proud that my design has led to happier customers and a better experience overall.
